Researching Emotional Labour of Social Practice Artists – Online Questionnaire

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We want to hear about your experiences as a social practice artist, particularly the emotional labour involved and its potential consequences. Your responses will be invaluable in building a picture of the demands of the sector and how social practice artists can be better supported in their work.

The online questionnaire is expected to take around 20 minutes to complete. If you have limited time, please answer what you can as any information you can share will still be very helpful.

Naturally, the more information the better! The questionnaire will close on Monday 23rd May 2022 (midnight BST).

Building on responses from this questionnaire, the forum hopes to be a place of discussion and sharing, opening with critical prompts from invited speakers and facilitated by Sally Labern.

There will be an open forum on 17th June 2022 that will follow the analysis of the questionnaire responses so watch out for further information to follow on that!

This questionnaire is part of the small study called ‘Emotional labour of social practice artists: moving towards sustainable collective care,’ led by Dr Rebecca Gordon with clinical psychologist Dr Naomi White and in partnership with the Social Art Network. It has been made possible by the generous support of the UCL SHS Dean’s Strategic Fund.
